F.I.S.H. Binders

Your First Grader has their own F.I.S.H. binder that will help him/her stay organized and responsible.  F.I.S.H. stands for Family Involvement Starts Here.  Please make sure this binder is reviewed and returned to school each day.

In the binder you will find the following sections:

 ·       Piggy Bank:  This pouch is for students to transport money to school.  Feel free to use it for lunch money, field trip money, book order money, etc.

 ·       Classroom Newsletter:  The newsletter will be changed every Friday and will contain upcoming events, classroom happenings, important information, etc.

·       Keep at Home:  This folder will contain graded work that your student may keep at home.  It will also occasionally contain notes from school about picture time, field trips, etc.

·       Return to School:  This folder is to be used for homework, letters to Mrs. Darling, papers to be returned to the office, etc.  Basically anything that needs to come back to school will be in this folder.

Please go through your child’s binder with them every night.   They will be excited to share their day with you!  If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call or e-mail me at Sarah.Darling@k12.sd.us.
